So, I’ve started really feeling that I should give back some to WP. I recently did a plugin that aimed at helping WP interact with Amazon S3 (which you can download here). Now, it’s time for a theme. This theme is called MinimalWP, and the title says it all. It is a very basic, but I think functional theme. There is a ton of room for customization if you know your CSS and HTML – O and I can’t forget…it’s built using the 960 grid system! I hope to develop more in the future, but this is what you get for now.
Features:
- Simple, easy-to-use
- Main Navigation shows pages. Pages can be excluded in options.
- Logo or graphic can be added in header.
- Customizable favicon
- Basic 2-column layout.
- Google Analytics code can be added in footer options.
- Footer text is customizable.
Now to the legalities….You are free to use this for personal use or even for non-profit stuff. However, DO NOT use this for profit or commercial use. This is to give back, so don’t make us regret it. Plus, if you’re using free designs for paying clients someone should drag you out back. Ok, avoided the soapbox…back on track. The GNU GPL applies, so, translated…this theme is provided as-is. I would love to help as I get the chance, but no guarantees.

To install, unzip and upload to your “wp-content/themes/” folder. Settings can be changed in “MinimalWP Settings” that will appear in left-side admin menu.
